Fellow Mom

I'm just an ordinary mom. Trying to find my way through life like everyone else.

I've got an amazing husband and four wonderful boys who teach me more than even the best books. When I'm not writing or editing, I'm serving up biscuits, gravy, and Bible stories or spending the day in the kitchen making fun food with my hubby. 

I like to curl up with my son's cat, Panther. I can't make it through the day without coffee. The only thing I can brag about is that I'm saved by God's Grace. I have a weakness for things written, and terrible driving skills. Although I tend to be forgetful... I never forget to eat. I never run out of words to write but can never think of the right ones to say. 

With over a decade of editing experience, I decided to utilize my degree in education and editing courses to focus on editing children’s books. Fast-forward a few years, and I have authors so happy with my work that they’ve included me in the credits of their books. 

I know kid’s books. So well, in fact, I have quite a few favs I can read to my little guys without looking at the words (but don’t tell them). 

I created this website because deep down, I'm an obsessed bookworm who believes in the magic and miracles of reading better books. 

 I’m well acquainted with classic authors like Bill Peet, Lois Lensky, and Maurice Sendak. I know authors who have been around for a while, like Laura Numeroff, Stan and Jan Berenstain, and Patricia Polacco.  And I keep up with newer authors like Jez Alborough, James Dean, and Karma Wilson. I even have a vintage children’s book collection (something my husband fails to fully appreciate, lol)..
